Pedestrian struck by car on Aurora Avenue North

A woman crossing a street suffered life-threatening injuries last night when she was struck by a car near North 105th Street and Aurora Avenue North, police said.

The 22-year-old woman was crossing Aurora Avenue North when she was struck by a car driven by a man in his 20s at 11:22 p.m., according to police. Seattle Fire Department medics took her to Harborview Medical Center with head injuries.

The driver was not injured.

Police say the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and is being investigated for DUI, police said.
