‘One Day Only’ could have been the theme Saturday at the holiday book sale put on 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. by the Friends of the Seattle Public Library.

With the help of four dozen volunteers, Building 30 at Magnuson Park was transformed into a book-lover’s paradise, with bargains on DVDs, audio books, children’s books and more. More than 12,000 items were offered.

Next year there will be the Friends’ big three-day book sale in September, three one-day sales and the holiday sale, all held in Building 30 in Magnuson Park.

In the photo to the right, it's heavy lifting for Leonardo Lee as he carries 28 books to the check out line at the book sale.
