Suspect arrested, partner sought in Kent burglaries

Kent police have identified two suspects in a string of home burglaries in southeast King County thanks to the help of the public.

Police last month released surveillance photos of the man and woman, which prompted tips from the public that led to the arrest yesterday of a 26-year-old SeaTac woman. Her alleged partner, Ross Bryde, a 25-year-old SeaTac man, remains at large. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Bryde, pictured at right, is 5-feet-7 and weighs about 145 pounds. He has short brown hair.

Police said Bryde and the woman were captured by home surveillance video as they tried to break into an east Kent home last month. According to Kent police, the woman first went to the front door and rang the doorbell. When no one answered, the pair went to the backyard and the man tried to enter the house theough a back door.

The homeowner heard a disturbance at her rear door and looked out to see the pair as the man tried to open a rear slider door. The pair then fled.

Anyone who knows Bryde’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
