The Morning Memo / Friday: Trucker found dead, empty wallets, North Bend fire

Weather: Looks like there might be some sun breaks some time today. Well, we can dream, can’t we?  It’s rain tomorrow and Sunday, just in time for the weekend. No rain Monday and Tuesday, though. We’ll take that. By the way, have you raked your leaves yet? Some of us have not… The details.

Traffic: What traffic? It’s the Friday after a holiday, for goodness sake. The map and cams.

Trucker found dead in his truck at Snoqualmie Pass, according to an Associated Press story.  From the AP:

The Washington State Patrol says a trucker was found dead in his semi-truck at Snoqualmie Pass.
The Transportation Department reported what appeared to be an abandoned truck Thursday night in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 90. A trooper found the driver unresponsive in the cab. Medics declared the driver dead at the scene. The patrol says the death is not traffic-related.

So, did you empty you wallet or purse shopping in the middle of the night on Black Friday? That being said, some folks apparently will be shopping from home. There was a report this morning that there will be an estimated $1.2 billion spent in online shopping this season. Whoa!

Occupy Seattle is scheduled to rally at Westlake Park in downtown Seattle from noon to 5 p.m. today and some plan to demonstrate at 2 p.m. at the Wal-Mart in Renton.

We’ll be following up on the fire in North Bend that left a woman in critical condition.
