The Morning Memo / Saturday: Chilly temps, 520 closure, follow the Huskies

Weather: Do you like 50 degrees and cloudy? You’re in luck. After this morning’s chilly temperatures (30s!), the forecast calls for a high of 50. And that’s what we can expect for most of the coming week, although the lows should be a little warmer than today. Add in a few showers from time to time throughout the week. More weather info.

Traffic: Things seem to be moving along our highways and byways this morning. But the Department of Transportation will close the Highway 520 floating bridge beginning tonight for construction. The westbound ramps and lanes will close at 10 p.m. today and the eastbound ramps and lanes close at 1 a.m. Sunday, to help Husky (and maybe a few Oregon) fans get home after tonight’s game. The bridge will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday. The map and cams.
