The Morning Memo / Sunday: It's all about the rain — and for some, running a marathon in the cold and wet

Weather:   As far as rain is concerned today, just accept it. It’s gonna be one of those classic Seattle days — wet and gray and with showers almost certainly upon us   all day long. The good news is that chances of a break improve somewhat as the week wears on, with forecasters predicting that Thursday and Saturday could be downright rain-free. Today will be in the 50s, but a little cooler the rest of the week. Marathon detours: Steer clear of some streets in the Eastlake and South Lake Union neighborhoods, which will be fully or partly blocked until 4 or so this afternoon because of the Seattle Marathon.

Traffic, other than that: Expect the usual traffic around the football stadium, with the Seahawks playing at 1:05 this afternoon. Traffic map and the cams
