There is not points to locate on the map

A police officer was punched in the face early this morning by a man suspected of selling drugs outside a nightclub, according to Seattle police.

Officers were summoned the 100 block of Occidental Avenue around 1 a.m. after the man was spotted trying to sell drugs to people entering the club, police said. Security officers at the club said the man may be armed with a knife.

Officers apprehended the man and seized two knives, one with a 6-inch fixed blade and a second with a 2-inch folding blade, police said. But the man broke free from the officers and ran away.

After a brief chase police caught the man a short distance away. While the man was being arrested he punched one of the officers in the face, police said.

According to police, in addition to the knives, the man also had 5.8 grams of cocaine, 2.5 grams of meth and a vial of LSD. The 24-year old man was also wanted on an outstanding felony warrant out of Mount Vernon for assault, burglary and robbery.

The man was booked into King County Jail for investigation of assault and the warrant.

A police account of the incident did not name the club.
