What's open, closed on Veterans Day

Here’s a look at what will be open and closed today in observance of Veterans Day:

Closed

  • Courts and banks are closed.
  • Local, state and federal government offices are closed, including the U.S. Postal Service and area libraries. Seattle parking meters will not be enforced.
  • Public schools are closed and classes are not in session at the University of Washington and Seattle community colleges.

Open

  • Garbage: Regular service.
  • Liquor: State liquor stores are open regular hours.
  • Metro: Reduced weekday service. For more information, check http://metro.kingcounty.gov/up/holiday-service.html
  • Sound Transit: Modified holiday schedule for buses and trains. For more information, check www.soundtransit.org/schedules
  • Pierce Transit: Regular schedule.
