Woman fatally hit by train in Seattle identified

The woman struck and killed by a Sounder train Monday evening has been identified as Tiffany Rose Farrar, 21.

Farrar died of multiple injuries when the train hit her about 6:20 p.m. in the 5500 block of Airport Way South. The King County Medical Examiner’s Office said the death was an accident.

The train was traveling between 40 and 50 mph. Medics performed CPR on Farrar but could not revive her.

Seattle police said the area where Farrar was killed is not open to the public and isn’t a legal railroad crossing.
