65-year sentence for slaying outside Belltown bar

A  26-year-old man was sentenced this morning to 65 years in prison for of killing one man and wounding another in a June 2010 shooting outside a Belltown bar.

Felix Sitthivong was found guilty last month of first-degree murder, first-degree assault and two counts of attempted murder.

Sitthivong fatally shot Steve Sok, 21, and wounded Phillip Thomas just before 3 a.m. June 6, 2010, outside the V-Bar Noodle Bar & Lounge. Sok and Thomas were both strangers to Sitthivong, according to police.

After the shooting, Sitthivong fled to California. He was arrested in Long Beach, Calif., about a week later.
