Authorities investigate death of Snohomish County Jail inmate

There is not points to locate on the map

Authorities are investigating the death yesterday of a Snohomish County Jail inmate who was found hanging in his cell.

Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies responded to the Everett jail just before 4:30 p.m. after receiving word that a 32-year-old Mill Creek man was found dead in his cell.

Corrections officers had checked the man’s cell at 3:50 p.m. and found nothing unusual, the Sheriff’s Office said. During a second check at 4:27 p.m. the man was found to be unresponsive and hanging from a hook with a sheet around his neck. Corrections officers performed CPR, but the man could not be revived.

The man had been booked into the jail Tuesday for investigation of one count of violation of the Uniformed Controlled Substances Act and seven counts of possession of a stolen firearm.  The Herald of Everett reports the man and his wife were arrested after a domestic violence call led to the discovery of marijuana plants and drugs at their home.
