Fremont fire overnight: The Seattle Fire Department plans to release information this afternoon about the cause of a two-house fire in Fremont last night.

Police chief questions feds: Seattle Police Chief John Diaz wants to examine the data behind a scathing report released Friday by the U.S. Department of Justice.

Short-term compromise: The U.S. Senate expected to vote this morning on a two-month compromise on the federal budget, punting a long-term deal or shutdown until February.
