Morning Memo/ Sunday: a day of sports — and showers

Weather:  Once again, it’s all about the drizzle, with showers or light rain predicted today and the rest of the week, except for Monday and Thursday, when it’s supposed to be a little nicer —  if you consider cloudy an upgrade over wet.  The details:

Traffic: Smooth sailing in the morning, but basketball traffic could cause slowdowns around Hec Ed in the early afternoon.   The details:

Speaking of sports: It’s a busy day for Seattle sports. The Seahawks are currently playing at Soldier Field in Chicago in a game that promises to be a slugfest. Danny O’Neil is chatting about it over in the Seahawks blog.  Also, UW men play a matinee basketball game against South Dakota State at noon. Washington is a 13.5-point favorite in Las Vegas, but this could be an even bigger blowout. And later in the day,  UW women take on Houston at 2:30 p.m. and WSU men play Western Oregon at 4:30 p.m.
