Morning Memo/Tuesday: Tiki torch beating … tolling … wet

Weather: Wet. And more wet most of the week. If you see any break in this, please let us know! OK, there might be some sun, but not until NEXT MONDAY! The details.

Traffic: Be careful on those wet roads. The map and cams.

Tolling to begin on 520 Bridge in two days. If you didn’t already know

Blockbusters: Perhaps you’ve noticed that Blockbuster video stores are closing all over the place in our area, including one in Ballard and two in West Seattle. Our community news partner the West Seattle Blog has the skinny on the two closing there.

Google maps

Tiki torch: Here’s something you don’t want to wake up to. A man and his wife in Aloha, Ore., were asleep when a man broke into their home and started beating the homeowner with an unlit Tiki torch. The homeowner grabbed a gun, which went off. No one was seriously injured.
