Oregon State Police display the drugs found in a Kirkland woman's car last night.

A 37-year-old Kirkland woman was arrested last night after a state trooper found five pounds of marijuana and a small amount of cocaine in her car during a traffic stop near Salem, Ore.

The Oregon State Police trooper stopped the woman’s 2002 Mercury Sable for a traffic violation around 11:12 p.m. on northbound Interstate 5. The trooper searched the trunk of the car and found the marijuana in a suitcase, according to an Oregon State Police news release. The trooper also found a small amount of cocaine in a backpack.

The State Police estimates the value of the marijuana at $12,500.

The woman was arrested and booked into the Marion County Jail for investigation of unlawful possession and distribution of a controlled substance.
