Photo tolls on Tacoma Narrows Bridge start Sat.

From The Associated Press

The Transportation Department says photo tolling will begin Saturday on the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.

Drivers who don’t stop at a toll booth or pay through a Good to Go transponder account will get a bill in the mail.

The News Tribune reports photo tolling will eliminate the $52 traffic tickets for drivers who don’t pay at the time.

The toll is $2.75 for drivers with an account, $4 at the toll booth or $5.50 for the photo toll.

Photo tolling had been planned in the spring but was delayed by a contractor’s problems. The same system will be used on the Highway 520 floating bridge in Seattle.
