Seattle police release photo of bank robber

Bank robber

Seattle police today released this surveillance photo of the man who robbed a University District bank yesterday afternoon.

Police said the robbery occurred in the 4100 block of University Way Northeast around 1:45 p.m. A police account of the incident didn’t name the bank, but there is a Wells Fargo branch at 4100 University Way Northeast.

According to police, the man appears to be in his late 40s, and is between 5-10 and 6 feet tall, with a medium build, a gray stubble beard and prescription glasses. Police say he may still have red dye stains on his hands, from an exploding dye pack.

If you recognize him, call the FBI Safe Streets Task Force at 206-622-0460.
