Weather: A bit foggy this morning, eh? And it’s drizzling. The next several days: cloudy, cloudy, cloudy and cold at night. A string of lows in the low to mid-30s, and highs at 43, 43, 43, 43… And gee, light rain just in time for the weekend. What joy. The details.

Traffic: The map and cams.

Arrest made in the rape of 12-year-old girl in Shoreline: The King County Sheriff says so via Twitter. We’re pursuiing for details.

The state Department of Transportation says it will announce this morning the start date for tolling on the 520 bridge. Tolling, which will be electronic, will help pay for the construction of a new bridge. We’ll keep you posted. There is not points to locate on the map

Lost dog, found dog: When her Pomeranian, long-haired Chihuahua mix named Bell went missing around Thanksgiving, Raquel Cooper of Finley in Eastern Washington was heartbroken, according to a story in the Tri-City Herald. Cooper, who was reunited with Bell just the other day, speculates someone picked up her pooch, then dropped her off in the park where she was found:

“Don’t ask me why someone would do that,” Cooper said. “But there are all sorts of mean people in the world.”

Darn right, Raquel.

The case of Jason Puracal: Washington Rep. Adam Smith, Sens. Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell and Oregon Reps. Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley have written to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, urging the State Department to get involved in Puracal’s case. Puracal, a UW graduate and Tacoma native, is in a Nicaragua prison for a drug-conspiracy conviction. His family says the conviction is based on untruths and the charges against him were politically motivated.
