Warm jail beats cold freedom for Manson man

From The Associated Press:

WENATCHEE — A man with no place to spend the night waved down a police officer in Wenatchee and confessed he had shattered a parked car’s window with a rock.

KPQ reports the 28-year-old Manson man got his wish and was booked into jail Monday night on suspicion of malicious mischief. He was warm as the temperature dropped to 17 degrees.

The man said he had no place to stay because he had gotten into an argument with his girlfriend.
