Conrad Lee elected Bellevue mayor

The Bellevue City Council has elected Conrad Lee as mayor and Jennifer Robertson as deputy mayor.

Lee, a council member since 1994, and Robertson, elected to the council in 2009, will serve two-year terms. They were elected unanimously by the council Tuesday.

Lee and Robertson are part of a 4-3 council majority that two years ago rejected a planned increase in the property tax and opposed Sound Transit’s planned light-rail route through South Bellevue until an agreement was reached to reduce neighborhood impacts and limit the city’s share of costs for a downtown tunnel.
