Woman arrested for false 911 call of officer "down"

At 3:25 a.m. today, Seattle police say, a woman called 911 to report an undercover officer “down” inside a residence in the 4300 block of Seventh Avenue N.E., and that she had seen a gun.  Several officers arrived to investigate and cleared the residence.  They found no one inside.

Police say the same woman had called 911 about 25 minutes earlier saying her boyfriend had gone into that residence with another male who had a gun.  She was concerned about her boyfriend because he had not come back out after 30 minutes.

Police say the woman’s first call — about her boyfriend —  was broadcast over police radio but because of high call volume had not been investigated before her second call came in.

The woman, 48, was arrested for false reporting to 911.
