Bicyclist struck by car on Capitol Hill last night

Seattle police are investigating a collision on Capitol Hill last night involving a bicycle and a car.

Police say that a Honda Fit was heading south on Boren Avenue, near Pine Street, at 5:13 p.m. when it struck a 25-year-old bicyclist. The bike rider was heading west on Pine when she was struck.

The cyclist was treated by Seattle Fire Medics and taken to Harborview Medical Center for what police spokesman Mark Jamison described as non life-threatening injuries. The Honda driver was interviewed and released by police. No signs of alcohol or drug impairment were detected, Jamieson said.

The intersection was shut down about two hours while detectives investigated.
