Body found in water off Pier 57

Seattle police and firefighters are at Elliott Bay this morning investigating the report of a body off Pier 57.

Seattle police spokesman Mark Jamieson said they were dispatched to the 1300 block of Alaskan Way around 7 a.m.  for reports of someone floating in the water. Fire spokesman Kyle Moore said that it appears the body is wearing a life jacket.

We will update this as more information becomes available.
