Housefire in Arlington claims one life

One person died in a fire Wednesday afternoon that engulfed a home in Arlington. Firefighters discovered the victim as they extinguished the fire. They also found two cats that died. No details were provided by city officials about the deceased person.

The Snohomish County Fire Marshal and Arlington police are investigating the cause of the fire in the 18600 block Silverleaf Place Northeast. The Arlington Fire Department was dispatched to the fire at 1:30 p.m. and was aided by firefighters from three other districts.
