No flammable cargo under Convention Center Tuesday and Wednesday this week

Vehicles carrying flammable cargo will need to steer clear of Interstate 5 through downtown Seattle on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

State Department of Transportation maintenance crews will be working on the fire-suppression system under the Washington State Convention Center between 7 a.m. Tuesday and 4 p.m. Wednesday. During that period, drivers needing to transport flammable materials through downtown should take alternate routes.
