2 injured when SUV rams into Kirkland home

Two people were hospitalized with non-threatening injuries last night after an SUV crashed into a home in Kirkland and burst into flames.

The accident happened just before 10 p.m. in the 12300 block of 105th Place Northeast.  According to Kirkland police and fire, the Hummer H2 struck the rear corner of the house and came to rest in the back yard. The H2 then burst into flames.

Two people were taken to Evergreen Hospital Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The occupant of the home was treated at the scene. 

Damage to home is estimated at $30,000. Damage to the H2 is estimated at $40,000.

The Kirkland Police Department is investigating.
