Roads in the area were reported slushy at the time, and police are investigating whether that  played a role in the accident, said King County sheriff’s spokeswoman Sgt Cindi West.

West said the collision occurred in the 6500 block of Northeast Bothell Way and 65th Avenue Northeast.

The collision blocked both westbound lanes and one of the eastbound lanes, according to the state Department of Transportation.

A third vehicle was involved in the crash, but there were no injuries to its occupants, according to the Northshore Fire Department.
