Hit-and-run crash in Redmond sends man to the hospital

UPDATE:

Police say they are looking for a light-colored Chevrolet that may have a smashed windshield or a dented hood in connection with the incident. Officers say the vehicle struck the pedestrian while he was in the sidewalk.

A 22-year-old Redmond man was hospitalized this morning after a hit-and-run crash.

Police were dispatched to the corner of Northeast 85th Street and 164th Avenue Northeast, in Redmond just before 6 a.m. for a report of a man in the roadway. The pedestrian, who had been struck by a car, suffered injuries to his head and a leg, according to Redmond police.

Redmond police Lt. Charles Gorman said that when police and medics arrived, the man was “conscious and in and out of shock.” But, Gorman said, the man was unable to tell them what had happened to him.

Redmond police are asking for help from anyone who witnessed the crash. Tipsters are asked to call the department at 425-556-2500.
