Nathan E. Crawford, 20, of Kent has died as the result of a collision at 1 a.m. Saturday, on Interstate 405 near the I-5 junction, the Washington State Patrol said Monday.

Crawford was heading south in a 1998 Honda Civic when he tried to pass a 2008 Ford Edge, and the vehicles collided, troopers said.

Crawford was taken to Harborview Medical Center after the crash, as were two of the three people in the other vehicle.  The crash remains under investigation, troopers said.
