Morning Memo/Friday: Kid with guns … Yoga sport … Wrong-way driver

Weather:  Rain likely until about 10 a.m., but the temp today could reach 50. Rain likely tomorrow, too. Ah, but Sunday could be partly sunny. Way cool.  The National Weather Service forecast.

Traffic: Things tied up on I-5 because of the wrong-way, head-on collision on I-5. See below.  The map and cams.

Wrong-way driver: Another driver got on a freeway in the wrong direction, but this time there was an accident. The driver got on I-5 in downtown Seattle at 3:30 a.m. this morning and crashed into another car. The wrong-way driver and the driver of the other car ended up in the hospital. More to come on this story.

Kid with guns: What is it with kids and guns? A 10-year-old boy in the Tri-Cities is reported showing off three guns on a YouTube video. It got him expelled. Where did he get the guns? Where are the adults?

Yoga a sport? We asked via a truly unscientific poll yesterday if you thought yoga could be an Olympic sport and early on, most folks said no. But this morning, almost 60 percent of the nearly 350 who voted said yes. Of course a lot of those folks could just be posers… OK, you’re free to groan.

Ship comes home: The aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis is scheduled to return to Bremerton today after sailing the seas for seven months in support of efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Mitt Romney is in Bellevue this morning. He’s kept a low profile on this visit.
