Morning Memo/Saturday: Lowell prinicipal reprimanded … Peeps and crafts … Clouded leopard cubs

Weather: Gardeners and outdoors enthusiasts should take advantage of today’s weather before the rain returns tomorrow, followed by a week of gray drizzle. Forecasters say the high today could hit the low 60s in some areas. The National Weather Service forecast.

Traffic: The Alaskan Way Viaduct is closed in both directions from the Battery Street Tunnel to the West Seattle Bridge until 5 a.m. Monday. The map and cams.

Lowell principal reprimanded: A yearlong investigation concluded the principal and assistant principal at Capitol Hill’s Lowell Elementary School mishandled a report of alleged sexual misconduct. The allegation that  an instructional assistant kissed the feet of a special-education student was found to be untrue, but the Lowell administrators were reprimanded for failing to properly investigate the allegation.

Baby animals: A pair of two-week-old endangered clouded leopard cubs were on view yesterday at the Point Defiance Zoo. Visitors will be able to see the cubs during their feeding times, currently at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. If you can’t get enough of these cuter-than-cute cubs, check out our photo gallery for more pictures.
