Police chase down alleged armed robber in U-District

Seattle police arrested a teen Saturday night minutes after he allegedly robbed a woman at gunpoint in the University Distict.

According to Seattle police, officers were on foot patrol about 9:36 p.m. when a woman ran up to them and pointed out a person she said had just robbed her. Police chased the suspect into an alley and arrested the person. Police said the victim then pointed out what police described as a “very realistic” BB gun-type pistol the suspect had thrown into some bushes.

The suspect, a teen, was booked into the Youth Services Center for investigation of robbery.
