Police seek driver who struck Seattle parking officer

Seattle police say a parking enforcement officer was struck last night by a vehicle whose driver then fled the scene.

Around 7 p.m., the officer was approaching the vehicle which was parked in a commercial load zone in the 100 block of Pine Street when the vehicle suddenly backed up, striking the officer. The driver then drove off north through Post Alley.

The officer was treated at the scene by Seattle Fire Department medics before being taken to Harborview Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as a green four-door Jeep Cherokee, possibly with California plates. There is no suspect description available at this time.
