The Rosalie Whyel Museum of Doll Art in Bellevue, which is closing for good after 20 years, will be open extra hours today to accommodate visitors.

The museum, located at 1116 108th Ave. NE, Bellevue, is open from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Admission is $5-$10.

Owner Whyel said that dropping visitor numbers made it hard to keep the museum open.

The Victorian-accented building holds the core of Whyel’s personal collection – and some of the dolls date from the 18th century.

“Our goal was to present the dolls, share them, preserve them and to educate people about dolls and collecting. I think we’ve done that, whether we were successful financially or not,” Whyel said.
