Be careful of ice Wednesday morning, then look for sunshine, warming through Thursday

Sunny and dry weather will prevail in the Seattle area Wednesday and Thursday as high pressure builds over the Pacific Northwest, according to the National Weather Service.

But drivers should be careful early Wednesday morning, as below freezing temperatures create icy spots on roadways.

Moderate temperatures are expected both days, with the mercury possibly climbing to about 60 degrees on Thursday.

Rain could return Friday, in the afternoon, as a cold front arrives, according to the Weather Service.

Rain could occur at times into early next week.
