2 men arrested after brawl

Two men were arrested early Sunday morning after a confrontation outside a Georgetown bar escalated into a brawl involving nearly three dozen people, Seattle police said.

A 17-year-old man who was beaten with a hammer and a tire iron was taken to Harborview Medical Center with unknown injuries, police said. Three women also were assaulted in the disturbance.

According to police, the incident began after at least two men left a bar in the 7200 block of East Marginal Way and “made several comments to some females” outside it. The 17-year-old took offense at the comments, followed the suspects to a nearby convenience store and confronted them.

By the time police responded to the fight, at about 2:10 a.m., it involved more than 30 people.

The two unidentified suspects, 39 and 40 year old, were arrested and booked into King County Jail for investigation of assault.
