Kicking around a bowling ball …

The note with the photo of the bowling trophy on the UW Surplus Store reads: "Yeah, it’s a bowling trophy featuring a person kicking a ball. How bad do you have to be at bowling to win that? And how much must your feet hurt?" (Photo / University of Washington)

A lot of cool, interesting and slightly odd items are on sale at the University of Washington’s Surplus Store (see Man finds humor in surplus at UW store by Seattle Times staff reporter Erik Lacitis), but we like this one in particular.

We’re not sure who the “Gutter Cleaners” were, and we’re sorry they had the lowest score. But we’re really sorry that their trophy was someone kicking a BOWLING BALL as if it were a soccer ball.

Ouch!

Does anyone know what “Bowling for CPO” means?

Nonetheless, Gutter Cleaners, if you’re still out there, we’re rootin’ for ya. Sorta…

(BTW, the trophy has already been sold. Sorry.)

If you’re in the shopping mood, you can go to the university’s surplus store web site.
