Man arrested after firing shotgun during family dispute

There is not points to locate on the map

A 26-year-old man was arrested last night after he fired a shotgun during a domestic disturbance at the family home, Seattle police said.

A woman called 911 around 9:30 p.m. to report that her brother was armed with a shotgun and chasing their parents around the house in the 6300 block of 8th Avenue Northeast.  While officers were on their way the woman reported that she heard a gunshot.

Police found the man outside the house and arrested him.

Officers found a shotgun inside the house near a backdoor. They also found a spent shotgun shell just outside the home. Police believe that the man fired the shotgun once into the air during the disturbance.

The man was booked into the King County Jail for investigation of domestic violence  harassment.

While officers were at the home, a neighbor, believed to be a friend of the suspect,  began causing a disturbance in his back yard and back alley.  The neighbor requested to go inside the house, but was refused by several officers.  At some point he apparently went into the home and was arrested for investigation of obstructing, police said.
