Mountlake Terrace police investigating attempted kidnapping

A man tried to kidnap a woman while she was walking home early yesterday morning, according to Mountlake Terrace police.

The 23-year-old Lynnwood woman told police said that she was walking in the 4600 block of 212th Street Southwest at 1:25 a.m. when a Saturn drove up with three men inside. One man inside the car asked if she needed a ride. When she refused he got out of the car and tried to pull her inside the vehicle, according to police.

The woman managed to fight off the man and ran home, police said.

That man is described as a Hispanic male in his 20’s with a goatee, white shirt, black pants and a silver necklace.

Police are asking that anyone with information abotu the attempted kidnapping call them at 425-670-8260 and ask to speak with a detective.
