State Patrol seeks car in fatal Kitsap Co. crash

The State Patrol is looking for a Mercedes-Benz sedan that may have been involved in a fatal crash early Sunday in Kitsap County.

Corey J. Sayers, a 26-year-old sailor, was killed at 2:17 a.m. when he fell off his motorcycle on the ramp from southbound state Highway 3 to Highway 303. An SUV then hit Sayers.

Detectives have learned that a Mercedes-Benz may have also been involved in the accident or least may have been driven by a witness to the crash, the State Patrol said today.

The car is black with dark tinted windows, and was a newer model, possible a 2002-2010 model. The sedan was clean and well kept with possible after-market ground effects, the State Patrol said.

Anyone with information on the car or the collision is asked to call Detective Krista Hedstrom at 360-473-0142.
