Tukwila man dies from injuries in I-5 accident

A Tukwila man injured in a traffic accident earlier this week died on Saturday afternoon at Harborview Medical Center, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Ivan Camacho-Nunez, 23, was hurt Thursday when his Chevrolet TrailBlazer slammed into a disabled semi-truck while merging onto Interstate 5 South from State Route 518, according to a State Patrol news release.

Camacho-Nunez suffered critical injuries and died at about 2 p.m. Saturday, the patrol said.

No one else was hurt in the accident. The driver of the truck was placing traffic cones on the roadway when the accident occurred, according to patrol records.
