Winds complicate search for victims of Bellingham marina fire

From The Associated Press:

Officials are still looking for the bodies of two people presumed dead in the fire Friday that sank their boat at a Bellingham marina.

Divers have been unable to get close to the submerged boat because of poor visibility and the amount of debris in the water.

A crane is being barged in to help, but that operation was complicated this weekend by high winds. More high winds are forecast for Monday.

The missing couple are 43-year-old Jim Langei and 33-year-old Sterling Taylor, who lived aboard a 42-foot power boat. It was one of 10 boats destroyed in the boathouse fire.

Officials expect the investigation of the cause and the cleanup work will take several weeks.
