Body found by hikers ID’d as missing Carnation woman

A body discovered by hikers near a trail outside the Tolt MacDonald Park in Carnation has been identified as that of Lorene F. Bardy, the 53-year-old Carnation woman who went missing the morning of April 26.

The King County Medical Examiner’s office said the cause and manner of her death were still pending.

At the time she disappeared from her Carnation home, Bardy was suffering significant and life-threatening health issues. The medication she needed for her illness was found inside her house.

He body was found back off the trail, and Sgt. Cindi West of the King County Sheriff’s Office said there didn’t appear to be any foul play.  Still, she added, authorities won’t know for sure until an autopsy is complete.
