Body found on street near South Lake Union

Seattle police are conducting a death investigation near South Lake Union after a man apparently jumped from an overpass.

The body is in the street at Roy Street and Eastlake Avenue East. The site is just beneath the Lakeview Boulevard East overpass. Police say there are no signs of foul play.

Callers told police the man jumped from the overpass. Police said an unattended backpack was found on the overpass.
