Don’t eat Korean shellfish, FDA, state health officials warn.

Don’t eat fresh and frozen shellfish from Korea, the federal Food and Drug and state health officials have advised, because they may be contaminated.

The advisory includes frozen, breaded shellfish products, and all oysters, clams, mussels and scallops. It does not cover canned products.

There have been no reported illnesses in Washington from the products, and the recall is preventive. Shellfish grown and produced in Washington are not affected.

For more information: Department of Health.
