UPDATE: Children found safe; Amber Alert canceled

UPDATE: 4:36 .m. | The King County Sheriff’s Office says the children have been found and are safe. The suspect has been arrested. The Amber Alert has been canceled. We’ll update the story once we get more information.

Original post: An Amber Alert has been issued for a man who abducted two children today from a car parked at the Burien library.

Michael Riley III is accused of stealing his ex-girlfriend’s car with his seven-month-old son, Jamier Riley, and the woman’s 2-year-old son, Jermiah Watkins, inside, according to the Amber Alert website. He is in violation of a court no-contact order, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office. He is driving a green 1994 Lexus with Washington license plate 299UOM.

The man has gang affiliations, according to Amber Alert website.

According to King County Superior Court records, Riley is homeless.

Anyone with information is asked to dial 911 or the sheriff’s office at 206-296-3311
