Intruder shot to death at Walla Walla store

The Associated Press

WALLA WALLA — The Walla Walla sheriff’s office says the owner of a store shot and killed an intruder early Friday in Walla Walla.

Police and deputies responded about 2:30 a.m. to a reported burglary at the New York Store Western Outfitters.

KNDU reports the front window had been broken and a 21-year-old was attempting to take items from the store.

Deputies say the store owner confronted the intruder and shot him. He died at the scene.
