Traffic delays expected on I-90 for holiday weekend

Drivers should expect delays on Interstate 90 over the holiday weekend between Cle Elum and Easton and between Hyak and Keechelus Dam, the Washington State Department of Transportation warns.

Two lanes will be open in both directions, but drivers will experience narrow shoulders and reduced speeds in the work zone over the holiday weekend.

Before setting out, drivers should check the Washington State Department of Transportation’s travel volume informaton on all weekend travel routes.

Next week between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday and again on Thursday, crews will blast the slopes of I-90 east of the summit.
