Body found after apparent fall from UW dorm

The body of a college-age man was found outside a University of Washington dormitory this morning, according to University of Washington police.

Police Cmdr. Steve Rittereiser said officers were called to a wooded area outside McMahon Hall at 10 a.m. after someone reported finding the body. Rittereiser said officers believe the man may have jumped or fallen from a balcony on the 11-floor building.

“Somebody fell from the building. We don’t know why or how,” Rittereiser said.
