2 Tacoma teens arrested after mom finds body at house

Two Tacoma teenagers are in jail on suspicion of first-degree murder after their mother reported finding a body in her home on Friday.

The mother went to police after finding the body at about 4 p.m., according to The News Tribune. When the woman returned with police, the body was gone, but police found it in a recycling bin outside the home in the 800 block of East 52nd Street, the paper reported.

Police told the newspaper that the woman’s teenage sons were the only people in the house when they arrived. They were brought in for questioning and arrested.

The body has not yet been identified, and the cause of death is not yet clear, but the body appears to be a male teenager, police said.
